Prof. Ting Zhang is a full professor, the director of i-Lab department and the Nano-X Vacuum Interconnected Nanotech Workstation, deputy director of the Academic Committee, and member of the Executive Committee of the Institute at Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He serves as a doctoral supervisor of University of Science and Technology of China, the associate editor for Microsystems & Nanoengineering. He got the National Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of China (2021), the Natural Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of Jiangsu Province (2017), and is in charge of Major Research Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key R&D Program of China, etc. He was awarded the Charismatic Scientific Talent in Suzhou, China (2022), the Excellent Supervisor Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences (2020), an Outstanding Editor for Microsystems & Nanoengineering (2019), Young Talented Scientist Award from China Instrument and Control Society (2016), etc.

    His research mainly focuses on the development of smart nanomaterials, Flexible/MEMS electronic devices and smart microsystems, and exploring their novel applications in medical diagnostics, robotics, human-machine interactions, and environmental monitoring. He has published more than 100 peer-review papers in journals like Science Advances, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Accounts of Chemical Research, Journal of the American Chemical Society, ACS Nano, Nano Letters, Nano Energy, SCIENTIA SINICA Technologica, etc., and contributed 5 invited Book Chapters. He has also applied more than 50 patents, some of these patents have been licensed and successfully applied in industry. In the past five years, he has been invited to give more than 40 presentations at academic conferences on nanotechnology, flexible electronics, intelligent sensing technology, wearable intelligent technology, etc., and served as the chairman and organizing committee member of international and domestic conferences for many times.
